Ariel Efraim Ashbel, Dip. Directing, the School of Visual Theater, Jerusalem, B. 1982, based in Tel Aviv.
Ariel is devising original theatre works, that develop a language of instruction and improvisation. His ensemble, AKA Performance Squad, is comprised of dancers, actors, musicians and filmmakers. The group presented award winning pieces in various fringe festivals and collaborates regularly with Israel's leading independent venue, Tmuna Theatre. From 2007 Ariel is studying Philosophy and History at Tel Aviv University and From 2008 to 2010, he was also the artistic director of “IntimaDance” festival for experimental dance and performance.
